I discovered a love for glass after taking stained glass classes at The Glass Source in Shelton, CT. I began experimenting with kiln-fired glass and then stumbled into the use of recycled glass. Working with recycled glass gave me the opportunity to be expressive and help bring awareness to the importance of recycling. My goal is to create well crafted artistic pieces that have purpose and show how beautiful recycling can be.

All of the glass I use is recycled from liquor, wine and household bottles. Friends, family and local establishments generously donate the bottles. I am very lucky to have their help. The copper wire is manufactured in the United States as well as most of the tools and materials I use. All glass and copper scraps are recycled so there is almost zero waste. Wood materials are also found or recycled from various sources and donations.

Commissioned pieces are exciting, I can be contacted through email at JenniferHarkeyStudio@gmail.com to discuss. My studio is located in the greater Greensboro, NC area. Most pieces can be purchased directly from myself or at local art fairs listed under my Event page. You can also follow me on instagram, facebook or Etsy. Use the icon links below.

I hope you enjoy my pieces as much as I enjoy creating them.

Repurpose and recycle everyday,

Jennifer

Much Love and Thanks to my family for all their support.
